Carrot Seeds – Nantes Mini Corei

Carrot Nanets Mini Core is a dwarf variety of carrot that produces small, cylindrical roots that are about 3-4 inches long. This variety is ideal for growing in containers or small spaces, and it matures quickly, usually within 50-60 days.

Soil: The soil should be well-draining and fertile, with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Carrots prefer loose, sandy soil, so add compost or sand to the soil to improve its texture.

Watering: Carrots need consistent moisture to grow properly, but over-watering can cause the roots to rot. Water deeply once a week, or more often in hot, dry weather.

Fertilizer: Fertilize the soil before planting with a balanced fertilizer or compost. Avoid fertilizing after the seedlings have emerged, as this can cause the roots to fork.

Thin the seedlings: Once the seedlings have sprouted, thin them to about 1-2 inches apart. This will give the remaining seedlings enough space to grow into healthy plants.

Mulch: Mulch around the plants with straw or leaves to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Pests and diseases: Carrot rust fly and carrot weevil are common pests that can damage carrot plants. Keep the area around the plants clean and remove any debris to prevent these pests from taking hold. Carrots can also be susceptible to fungal diseases, so avoid overhead watering and remove any infected plants immediately.
